Integrate a Coveo Insight Panel Classic Component

In this article

A Coveo Insight Panel Classic Component automatically pulls information related to the Salesforce object that’s currently selected, therefore automatically providing contextually relevant information.

Note

It’s the Classic equivalent of the Coveo Insight Panel Lightning Component.

This article describes how to add a Coveo Insight Panel Classic Component in a Salesforce Support Console as a subtab component in the right sidebar.

  1. Log in to Salesforce using an account that has the permissions to set up a Salesforce Console for Service, if not already done.

  2. If you don’t yet have a console, create one (see Setting Up a Salesforce Console for Service).

  3. From the Force.com App Menu, select the console in which you want to create the Coveo Insight Panel Classic Component.

  4. Select a Case item, and then click Edit-Layout.

  5. In the Case Layout editing box at the top of the page, on the right of the Case Layout bar, click the Custom Console Components link.

  6. On the Custom Console Components page, configure a Coveo Insight Panel Classic Component in the same type of tab (Sub tab or a Primary Tab) as the one in which cases open in your console.

    6. In Height %, enter the recommended value, which is 100 %.
