Coveo for Sitecore 3.0 is an integration of our full-fledged search engine, directly in Sitecore 7.0 to 8.1. It can replace Lucene altogether, or play along with it. Its flexibility thus gives you great control over what gets indexed and how it is indexed. It even allows you to build full-featured, Coveo-based search interfaces right out of the box. And the best part is: it's free!

Consider that there are two main versions of Coveo for Sitecore:

  • Coveo for Sitecore 3.0, supporting only Coveo Enterprise Search (CES)-based indexes. This version is in maintenance mode, meaning that its next versions are only covering bug fixes.
  • Coveo for Sitecore 4.0, supporting both CES-based and cloud-based indexes. This version is being actively developed, and continues to include new features.
